Farm Photo Project - Mission Statement

Mission Statement

Our goal is to publish a chronicle of rural society through portraiture of those whose lives illustrate the character of the community.  The purpose is to give a voice and an image to a culture that is made up of diverse individuals working in a common environment.  The photography will illustrate variety of people who make up the farming community.  The anecdotal narrative will record a balanced story of present, past, successes, legacy, and heritage in combination with the hopes and dreams for the future.  Frequently our nation’s rural culture has been shown in rough caricature by the entertainment and news media.  It is our hope to create a voice and an image that more accurately represents the American farm and ranch community.

Our plan is to publish the results of this journey in both print and electronic media.  A travelling gallery exhibit would be available for local display.  Realizing the Coffee Table Art Book Publications goals will require additional funding through grants, subscriptions and sponsors.
